Original answer	Yes, you may pay with credit card in most shops. In case of local shops for example even travel agencies, tailors, gems and other souvenirs they charge from 3 to 5% depending on your credit card. Mastercard and Visa Card is usually 3%. Amex (American Express) and Diners can be up to 5%. There are no charges for shopping in Tesco Lotus, Big C, Makro or other big shopping avenues. There are also no charges for filling up your car on most gas stations like PTT, Shell, Exxon etc.
